The Milneburg Lighthouse, dating from the 1850's, is the same lighthouse found at the former Pontchartrain Beach Amusement Park in New Orleans. The Kiddieland area was built around the lighthouse, which is likely the last standing and recognizable structure from the park.

The New Canal Lighthouse is shown in the foreground the morning of a Lunar eclipse in New Orleans. (8x12 crop). Most people comment that this image does not look real - I assure you it is! I attribute the "flattness" of it to the sun rising behind me, lighting up the structure and the compression effect you get when using a long (400mm) focal-length lens.
